Parent Education Workshops

The first few months of a baby’s life are called the 4th trimester because it takes baby some time to get used to life outside the womb. During this workshop, you will learn how to create an environment for your baby to thrive that is like what they experienced inside the womb, you will learn why babies cry and how to recognize baby’s cues to respond in a nurturing way, as well as soothing and sleep techniques and how to set yourself up to create a rhythm at home with your baby. Meet other parents with similar-aged babies, ask questions, and learn techniques, tips, and education about adjusting to life at home with your baby.

Parent Support Group

Allow local new parents to gather in a safe, supportive space for new baby education, connection, and support through this facilitated New Parent education and support group. Structured so the first part gives parents an opportunity to meet and connect with one another through facilitated discussion/sharing time. They can ask questions, share experiences, and discuss the ups and downs of this wonderful yet anxiety-producing time of welcoming a new baby. Second part of each session will be parent education with facilitated discussion and education about relevant topics

Postpartum Doula Services

As a postpartum doula and mindfulness guide, I offer practical, emotional, informational support and guidance to new parents. Through open conversation and guided questions in a non-judgemental space, parents will have time to ask any questions they may have about baby care or self-care and be guided in some exercises to think about how to integrate more self-care into their busy day. I will share possible systems and tools to help them manage the day-to-day stresses of caring for a new baby and managing household demands as well as giving them a chance to think beyond the day-to-day to what  they envision and desire for themselves in areas beyond parenting like health, work, relationships, and overall well-being. When moms take some time to care for themselves, they can better care for the little ones during these developmentally critical first five years that lay the foundation for a child's overall success.

Baby Sleep Services

Going through the sleep training process with your baby with my guidance is a gentle yet efficient way to go about teaching your baby to sleep well. I apply experience gained from working with many babies as a postpartum doula along with the skills and knowledge in sleep methodologies and sleep science from my sleep consultant training program to develop a plan catered to you and your baby. A solid sleep foundation will help everyone to feel rested again and will even help your baby move through the natural transitions and developmental leaps that often cause regressions with less disruption to your family flow and well-being.
