Doing what is truly yours to do feels good.
You'll feel it when you aren't in alignment. Of course there are things in our day that must be done, that are mundane but our responsibility. That's not what we're talking about here.
We're talking about the little things that add up and fill up all your time and in the end aren't meaningful for you. They aren't pushing the needle toward what you truly want, what brings you that greater joy and fulfillment you desire. Your day will be busy no matter what. You have to prioritize some time for what's most important. Or you will keep filling your day with stuff and it won't feel good at the end of the night. The more you stay in your integrity, say yes when you mean yes and no when you mean no - You will feel better and show up as your true, higher self. This is how you radiate energy and get into a flow state with greater focus, productivity, and enjoyment.

5 Steps to help you stay true to you and do what is yours to do
Do things your heart desires even if it’s scary. We as humans are hardwired to do what’s comfortable, to avoid pain, and to play it safe. But this is no way to be. Stepping outside and trying new things, leaning into challenges, and growing yourself is how you experience joy, wellbeing, and connection - the good stuff.
See the end game - remember you grow through challenges. Look back on your life. When did you learn the greatest lessons? Grow yourself? By living, by failing - seeing the feedback from it - and trying again. It’s easy to look back and see that the challenging things helped you grow, learn something, and be more of who you are today. When you are in the midst of hard things, it’s not easy to have that perspective. With practice, you can zoom out and get through hard things knowing it’s how you grow and you can even find some joy in the journey.
Make time for stillness to hear the whisper of truth within you. Your journey is unique. As long as you keep doing what your heart is calling you to do, you will feel that greater wholeness and alignment. The best way to hear that whisper is in the quiet. Making some time in stillness, prayer, and meditation. This is how you tune in and unearth your next step, feel that goodness and love within you. This can be hard. With practice in mindfulness, you allow even those negative thoughts to be without getting entangled in them and lost. You allow them to be, knowing you are the presence beneath. You are not your thoughts. By making a little time for quiet and stillness each day, you are able to tune into that voice of guidance and truth within.
Trust in the greatness within you that is ready to be unearthed. Your essence is wholeness and love. There are gifts inside you that no one else in this world has. You showing up as you, serving in a way, only you can is a gift to the world that expands and multiplies good for you and the world. But you have to trust; you have to be you. Say yes to you. And make time for the things that create wellbeing and joy for you. Let your path unfold one step at a time by doing what your heart is whispering for you to do.
Say yes to you. Honor the commitments you set for yourself. Put yourself and your family first. If you say you’re going to exercise, meditate, write, journal, work on a project … but then you don’t stick to that commitment … it can feel like you’re letting yourself down. If you are saying no to something, it only means you are saying yes to something more important. It’s okay to say no. It’s worse to say yes when your heart says no. You are not showing up as your highest self and it will be felt within you and those around you. That doesn't serve anyone. You will be able to give more if you have honored yourself and are coming from a place of love and kindness.
